Strategy for Showcase

The spring semester is starting to bloom. Our showcase is quickly approaching, and I am very excited to share what I have completed so far. I’ve spent the past two weeks preparing for the showcase and following up with professionals.  

To prepare for the showcase, I assembled my Display Board. I used Canva to design the sheets to place onto the board and accentuated the papers by incorporating my purple color scheme. I adhered to the requirements to include my quote, mission statement, topic proposal, original work, and mentor bio. I used pink cardstock to make my board look visually appealing and used it to accentuate the papers on my board. I also added my resume, a QR code to my Digital Portfolio, more about my topic, and images. I also created my invitation through Canva and sent it out to my guests to give them ample time if they decided to come.

Additionally, we had an informal Gallery Walk in class to gain feedback about our boards. I received suggestions to reprint pictures and swap out my resume for another visual. I loved seeing everyone else’s creative boards and seeing how they were showcasing their hard work. 

I also conducted a second interview with a professional and we discussed what I completed for my Original Work, my research about AI in neuropsychology, and ideas for Final Product. She mentioned the hesitancy to use AI in neuropsychology and the differing beliefs toward it. I enjoyed catching up with her and showing her my work. 

I am looking forward to presenting my board and taking more steps to gain a mentor!
