(Final) Final Presentation Night

These 2 weeks have included so much preparation for our biggest event of the year: Final Presentation Night. I am very excited to share all that I’ve learned and completed over the course of the year.

This past weekend was very busy because I headed to UT Austin for a Journalism convention, but we had such a wonderful time! It was great to hear from so many professionals and students who were as passionate about the subject as I am. Me and my staffers made so many amazing memories. 

For ISM, I submitted my Rough Draft of my speech and my slides. I focused on the research that I completed and mentioned the topics that stood out to me the most. I then connected its significance to my work for both my Original Work and Final Product. I looked at my Final Presentation Night slides from last year and the Research Speech that I did last semester to make my slides look even more appealing. I enjoyed compiling my work into a slideshow to showcase my work and psychology’s significance to me. One topic I hope to elaborate on during my speech was the interview process and the experience of trying to get a mentor. I want to focus on the persistence and hard work it takes to obtain interviews, and the importance of staying persistent. 

I also submitted both a rough draft and final draft of my Final Presentation Night program. I enjoyed getting to acknowledge the people who have made this journey so special and summarize what will be included in my presentation. 

Now, it is time to practice and rehearse my speech to ensure a fun and smooth-sailing presentation. Can’t believe this journey is almost over!
