Peer Partnerships

This week in ISM I completed peer reviews for resume rough drafts and for interview questions, and completed Research Assessment 3 which was another annotated bibliography. This week I struggled with getting enough sleep and managing my time wisely. However, I plan to use these struggles as a way to grow and prioritize my well-being this week.

I loved reading my peers’ resumes as it was interesting seeing their format and it helped me integrate certain aspects of their resume into mine. It allowed me to have another perspective and I enjoyed giving helpful feedback. I believe it is very important to have other people view and provide feedback on work and I am excited to read feedback for my resume.

Also, I conducted peer reviews for interview questions for future informational interviews. I had a great time reading my peers’ interview questions as I got more insight in their topic and helped revise questions to get more information and avoid strictly yes or no questions.

Additionally, Research Assessment 3 was time-consuming for me, yet I was glad that we had completed our first one the previous week, as I was certain about what to do and had already completed the process. Finding 5 new articles was easier this time around and I chose articles regarding technology in journalism, political journalism, sports journalism, and collaborative roles in investigative journalism.
