This week in ISM I completed my Research Assessment #6 about our Business Symposium and submitted the first draft of my contact list. It is also the last week of the first 9 weeks, we did it! Yay! As a treat for finishing the 9 weeks, I watched the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie with my besties this past weekend, and it was just so special and beautiful! So much crying, scream-singing, and dancing, I loved being able to relive one of the best days of my life! I feel like this 9 week marking period passed by very quickly yet slowly at the same time. I believe that some overall takeaways I had were to be confident in my abilities, work hard to achieve my goals, but to find time for myself in the midst of school, work, and my other responsibilities.
Completing Research Assessment #6 was an easy task as it was a recap of what I learned from our Business Symposium and did not require any outside source incorporation. Having that research assessment helped me recall my areas of success and areas of growth and take note of the things that I would like to continue doing and improve on. I believe that reflecting on the experience will help me as I continue my ISM journey and I thoroughly enjoyed writing about my experience as I had a blast at our Business Symposium
Additionally, this week I submitted my contact list first draft which included several journalists and some professionals in journalism related fields. My family friend, Newspaper sponsor, and Business Symposium connection helped me gather contacts and I am so grateful for their help! Having these contacts will help me learn much more about the journalistic industry and I am so excited to interact with more professionals.
This upcoming week I plan to send interview requests out and make more connections. My ISM journey is starting to take shape, how exciting!
